We all know that the mind is all-powerful.
Businesspeople make the transition from failure to success by using the power of mind over matter.
Building a strong mind and a focussed method makes all the difference in your grades.
I have some ways that are really simple for you to start building your resilience.
You will discover that in just a matter of a few months, your outlook towards your studies would have changed completely!
It is all in the mind so it is time to get your mind beefed up and ready to take on whatever challenges you face.
The first of my suggestions is to simply take time off for some laughter.
#1 Take time off for laughter
Sounds easy, doesn’t it? You probably think that it sounds rather silly.
My dear students, there is really more to this than meets the eye.
Laughter is the best medicine and a great way to relieve stress.
Not only that, a good round of laughter prompts you to feel some relief and your brain discharges a positive message.
A bit of laughter is like clearing the air and it makes you think better.
The positive feeling that you get is not just about you.

When you laugh, it is usually in unison. This means that you have bonded with someone or some others.
Laughter is about sharing a joke and finding some rapport with a subject and some people.
It brings more relief to yourself than you know.
Just think about it. When you study, it is usually done alone.
The best study time is accomplished in self-study.
And if you keep at it for some time, you are cut off from the cycle of things.
Your feelings are kept at bay as you have gotten used to being by yourself for a long time.
Even if there is no one else to share a joke with, try watching a show or video online.
There are plenty of them with internationally renowned comedians who will set you off at a moment’s notice.
Laugh along with the invisible audience and enjoy the moment.
You will feel lighter.
This can help you to approach your subjects better and provide you with resilience.
#2 Join a group
An excellent way to build resilience is to join a group.
It can be any group from a reading club to a sports group.
It should be about having common interests.
You can find one from your school or join an online group.
Make sure that it provides you with something of value, no matter how frivolous it may be.
Even something like joining a group where people like to talk about catching a Pokemon can be a meaningful activity if you feel good about it.
And why is that, you may wonder?
How can catching a Pokemon be anything of value and build resilience?
I’ll tell you why.
Firstly, it is not about catching the Pokemon that is valuable but the way you connect to others and feel satisfied at accomplishing something that is more important.
The resilience this builds in you is based on the activity that causes mutual benefit and satisfaction.
It is more about feeling good and the confidence you will feel.
This will go a long way in making you strive towards your goals.
#3 Help others
Helping others is a fantastic way to produce awareness of your community.
When you help someone, you are basically thinking about someone other than yourself.
This is about altruism and it will cause you to think of some of society’s problems.
The challenges faced by people are innumerable.
Just taking some time off to think about this and just helping someone if you think it is possible will expand your knowledge of the world.
There will be a gradual realisation of thankfulness for what you have and willingness to produce a change for the better.

Helping others does not have to be about joining a group or community.
It can even be about helping someone cross the road or find an address.
If you see bullies picking on someone, you may choose to intervene if it is safe.
Helping someone can be done in innumerable ways.
All it requires is a kind heart and I must say it is a great way to build resilience!
#4 Have a pet
Having a pet is about caring for someone.
You will become a caring person when you care for a pet.
I know this as I had a pet when I was in primary school and I have not been the same person since!
I have a soft spot in my heart for animals as they cannot speak out their thoughts like us.
Surviving in a concrete jungle like ours can be a daunting task for these creatures so taking one in and caring for it with kindness and tenderness will make such a difference in raising the level of your resilience.
#5 Avoid negative outlets
I think it is a good idea to avoid negative outlets such as cyber cafes and areas where there is a lot of smoke such as outdoor cafes.
Not only that but avoiding people who talk negatively can also be a good way to keep yourself positive and build resilience.
The more positive you feel, the stronger you will be and that is the first step towards unleashing your full potential.
The choices you make are all about you but please make the right ones as they can make a huge difference in cultivating your resilience.
I sincerely hope that you will choose one of my suggestions and try making a difference in your life by building resilience!
